OUR MISSION

Since our incorporation in 1991, our mission has been the development and manufacture of protective coatings and epoxies that are both environmentally friendly and reasonably priced. This has led to the replacement of many of our original solvent based products by coatings based on waterborne technology and/or high solids, containing little or no volatile organic compounds.

COMMMITMENT TO ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

Unlike modified bitumen roof coating systems, our waterproof, elastomeric roof coating membrane is a non-flammable, water-based system. This product can be sprayed over most existing roofing systems, eliminating the labour to strip them and the cost to transport waste shingles and roll roofing to landfills.

We now offer a rubber safety surface system for pool decks, running tracks, playgrounds, factory floors and equestrian lodging. Available in a broad color range, this system includes recycled rubber as a base material and a 100% solids, urethane binder that is free of volatile organic compounds.

Anti-slip floor coatings from Polycoatings International, contain recycled, granulated rubber originating from car tires. This inexpensive and readily available material is an excellent, durable, frictional component. A century of research and development has made tire rubber almost indestructible. In 1993, we succeeded in finding a way to incorporate it as an integral part of an anti-slip coating membrane, so that it would not dislodge and be swept away.

Our vapor barriers and acid resistant coating systems are water-based and contain no (solvents) volatile organic compounds. Our epoxy systems are 100% solids, two component systems which do not incorporate solvents of any kind.

To facilitate the removal of most paints, urethane, epoxy, inks and adhesives, we developed a bio-degradable, anti-bacterial hand cleaner that cleans quickly without the use of harmful chemicals or solvents.

Our urethane concrete form coating is not only an excellent release agent, it is also a high performance protective coating which provides up to six times the useful life of wooden forms - obviously a significant reduction in material waste and overall cost.

Although we are constantly striving to improve the quality, durability and ease of application of our products, we devote equal time and effort to insure that our products have minimal impact on the environment.
