PART POLYURETHANE SLIP AND FALL PREVENTION THAT WEARS LIKE IRON
SEALS AND PROTECTS CONCRETE, WOOD FLOORS, RAMPS, IN FACTORIES, WORKSHOPS, GARAGES AND BARNS Withstands High Forklift Traffic –4950 psi tensile strength. Safe-T-Kote M37 is a two part, polyurethane, anti-skid, protective coating containing rubber granules, which have been recycled from automobile, tires. It forms a tough, abrasive and impact resistant film which provides a safe, sure footing and superior substrate protection. Safe-T-Kote M37 is resistant to: chemicals, acid solutions, solvents, gas, oil, salt water and heat to temperatures to 200 degrees F. Safe-T-Kote will adhere to clean, dry, sound surfaces such as concrete, wood, fiberglass, sanded paint surfaces and primed metals. It can be applied using an air undercoating gun and for larger areas, it can be applied with a special Safe-T-Kote roller. The product will not flake or peel if applied as directed and is repairable (bonds to itself). Approved for use in food processing plants, Safe-T-Kote has no odor when cured and will not taint water or food. M37 exceeds FMVSS 302 for flammability. Standard stocking colors are gray and black. Custom colors are available at a slightly extra charge. The product is packaged in 1 liter, 1 US gallon (3.78 Liter) and 5 US gallon (18.9 liter) containers as well as in drums. THEORETICAL COVERAGE Coverage of M37 is dependent upon the porosity and/or roughness of the surface to which it is applied. The following is offered as a guide only, based on a two-coat application: Metal and Fiberglass...…...........55 square feet per U.S. gallon (3.78 L) Concrete....................…...........45 square feet per U.S. gallon (3.78L) Wood (unprimed)..………...…..45 square feet per U.S. gallon (3.78L) Wood (primed).........................50 square feet per U.S. gallon (3.78L) SURFACE PREPARATION CONCRETE: Old, dirty concrete must be acid-etched, ground or sandblasted. Concrete which has been treated with hardeners or fumed silica, or concrete that has been smooth trowelled must be sandblasted. Intact epoxy sealers can be sanded using 80 grit abrasives. New concrete must be allowed to cure for 30 days and not sealed. FIBERGLASS: Sand surface using 80 grit paper until all evidence of gloss is removed. Remove all traces of dust from surface. WOOD: Surface must be clean, dry and free from oily residue. Sand any previous paints or coatings using 80 grit paper. Remove all dust from surface. STEEL: Surface must be clean, dry and free from oily residue. For bare steel, apply one coat of Neverox® Anti-Rust Emulsion. Allow to dry for 24 hours. APPLICATION Mix part “A” and “B” as per instructions on label. Apply using Safe-T-Kote Roller or undercoating gun in two coats, allowing 2 to 3 hours cure time between coats. Allow 24 hours cure time before subjecting to light traffic. Surface is ready for heavy traffic in 4 days when Safe-T-Kote® M37 reaches maximum strength. |
